We have not really introduced Peter Wagner properly on Church Watch Central. He emerged as a spearhead of the New Apostolic Reformation cult in the late 1980s and still travels the world today promoting very dangerous spiritual prayer and strategy “warfare”. He is one of the most famous faces that represents the NAR cult.
Within the New Apostolic Reformation, Peter Wagner runs the Wagner Leadership Institute (WLI). We thought it was worth introducing him through his institute’s page from the ‘Global Awakening’ website (the website name suggests New Age undertones).
NOTICE: While reading the below blurb, the WLI is “not an accredited institution” but “seeks to facilitate reformation and restoration by transforming the way ministry education is approached”. Wagner is talking about reforming and restoring Christian education (and “creating a new educational infrastructure”) based on his ideas on “core topics of: Apostolic, Prophetic, Evangelism, Pastoral, Teacher and Seven Mountain.” (We will look more at the Seven Mountain doctrine another time.)
And also notice that Wagner’s WLI introduces to Christianity “a new paradigm for unique training in practical ministry”. We will look more into this “new paradigm” in later articles.
For someone who runs an “international apostolic training,” how come his institute cannot be properly accredited to this day? Don’t you think the elitist mentality and foreign language in this institute should concern Christians?
The global New Apostolic Reformation cult preaches a false Jesus, false gospel (called the ‘Gospel of the Kingdom’), and promotes a spirit that reveals New Age metaphysical teachings and strategies in an attempt to bring heaven to earth and to militantly advance the kingdom of god.

- Previous Practical ministry experience and active Christian service, volunteer or staff.
- For all previous training conferences, Bible College classes, secular training and local Church seminars
- By attending approved conferences and healing schools.
- By home based studies and internet courses.
- By attending WLI courses.
- Work at your own speed toward advanced diplomas in Practical Ministry – Bachelor, Masters and Doctorate levels.
