Generally when someone calls someone “shallow” or “surface-y,” it is considered an insult. The idea is that someone lacks any depth mentally, spiritually or experientially and is incredibly superficial.
However, that insult did not stop Bobbie Houston using that on Oprah:

Bobbie was right! Oprah’s faith is shallow! Oprah has made it very clear where she stands and it’s not for God! The problem is Bobbie didn’t mean it as an insult when she should have, she thought Oprah was wonderful and full of wisdom! Can’t say I’m surprised that Bobbie would like learning from a new age guru though.
Unfortunately Bobbie gave Oprah a huge plug!

In yesterday’s sermon at 1:01:30 Bobbie says in reference to going to Oprah, “I felt God said “Go”….as I sat there listening to a profound woman, it gave me courage…So God will use anything these days, it totally ministered to me.”
1:15:22 “I sat there watching this crowd of woman gather to Oprah last night, she’s a good lady and I was thinking there’s probably a number of colour girls in here, maybe Hillsong girls, but the vast majority I don’t think so and I see this hunger and I seem them eating, sitting mesmerized, eating out of the hand of a woman who in essence was sharing wisdom..”
That’s shocking!! Why is your article not about this then? Your article is solely about Bobbie insulting Oprah when she didn’t, she only praised Oprah and even did it in her sermon!?!?
I took that instagram as Bobbie Houston giving Oprah a compliment, saying she thinks Oprah’s faith can be easily seen by other people.
Who/what Opera’s faith is in compared to the God of the Bible is another topic entirely.

Every human’s wisdom is relative, what is it that it is related to, is the question.
”Do not be wise in your own eyes; fear the LORD and shun evil.” Proverbs 3:7
”Do not deceive yourselves. If any of you think you are wise by the standards of this age, you should become “fools” so that you may become wise.” 1 Corinthians 3:18
If anyone is looking for wisdom, the Scriptures should be the first place to look, not people.
”If any of you lacks wisdom, he should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to him.” James 1:5
Oprah has nothing to offer to a christian, in my honest opinion.
