About two years ago, Pedro Garcia was invited to a “pastor’s only” meeting at Calvary Chapel Merritt Island, and Garcia was the main speaker. And it felt way off. Cringeworthy, red flags all over. Nothing about him sat well with me at all. I felt there was a big problem with him, and I couldn’t listen to any more, and I left early. No one else seemed bothered by him. And Garcia was lifted up as the example to follow of “how to do church right”. I don’t rejoice in the fact that he has fallen. But I will say that man is lifted up way too often, when we should be lifting up the Name of Jesus, and the Word of God the Bible, and the leading of the Holy Spirit.
I never received a reply to this email. So disappointing.

“I love and care about people – from all walks of life; people with various beliefs, ethics, perspectives and lifestyles …….. So if you are gay, are you welcome at Hillsong Church? Of course! In relation to the above statement, some of my friends are paedophiles and would like to attend your church; are they welcome also? After all, you don’t discriminate right?
You guys need to chill. Pedro is a great guy who the Lord used in an amazing way. He loved the Lord and sharing with people about Jesus. If there was sin in his life the Lord will deal with it. Let’s love him through it. We pray Lord for Pedro and his family. Restore him protect him be with his family. Use this for you glory. In Jesus name.
Yea Pedro messed up, but what worse is the way everything was handled. Almost all of the board members didn’t agree with Pedro being fired. They said that if this motion went threw, they would resign. Thats what happened. Trust me the entire story is not being told. If you want the truth you should email the church and ask them what happen to the external board?

Not sure how much of what is being said here is true or not. But one thing I know is I love God and I am not without sin.

I attended Calvary some times to receive God’s Word. I truly believe pastor Garcia has a heart for God, and God used him to preach it.
Truth or not, a Christian does not belittle or condemn another, rather we lift each other up and LOVINGLY, point out to help each other when we go astray. For Jesus did not come to this world to condemn it, but to SAVE it.
Not saying if he did do or didn’t do wrong or right I have no right to bash him because I am not self righteous. Neither should anyone but Jesus is.
It is not about putting anyone above God. Nobody is above Him. Duh!
But… it’s about His commandment to love Him above all and love each other as He loves us.

Pedro had been leading a double life for years. He disqualified himself & disrespected the pulpit, despite counsel, chances, and all kinds of help being extended. Blaming others is typical addict behavior. It’s never their fault. Move on. God will not be mocked.
I heard that Pedro did ask for help from the church board and no one helped him. The church board is instead suing pastor Pedro to get their hands on the land the church was built on. If this is true then they are just a bunch of greedy people who don’t care about Pedro at all or love Jesus . Shame on the board for throwing Pedro under the bus like that. I’m sure all of them have skeletons in their closet .

Pedro and his wife are the real deal!! How dare anybody judge them. Only God is our judge. It’s a pity he was removed from ministry. I stopped going to CCK because they are gone! This whole thing sickens me. I think Pedro and his leadership and his messages are of the most inspiring and life impacting I ever heard in my life. It’s a pity things turned out the way they did. I believe God has bigger and better plans ahead! I support him and his family 100%.
