Who is Alan Langstaff? (Part 1)

This article will examine Alan Langstaff.

Langstaff was key in helping spread the New Apostolic Reformation cult from America to New Zealand and Australia. He was instrumental in starting the Temple Trust and Vision Magazine.

Alan Langstaff says in his bio,

“Doctor Alan Langstaff, originally from Sydney, Australia is currently the Senior Pastor of Church on the Hill in Chaska, MN. He is also the president of Kairos Ministries, Inc, and has a vision for releasing people in ministry and training Christian leaders.

He was the Apostolic Overseer of Omega Team, an international Association of pastors, churches and ministries based in the Twin Cities of Minneapolis/St. Paul, MN.

Alan was born in Sydney, Australia, where he trained and worked as an architect, before he became a minister. He was originally ordained by the Methodist church of Australia.

From 1986 to 2000 he was the Senior Pastor of Antioch Christian Fellowship. The ministry of Antioch Christian Fellowship included ACTS International (Antioch Christian Training School), plus many specialized ministries reaching out to the community and the world, including church planting both locally and overseas.

For a number of years he co-hosted a weekly television program called ‘Crossroads’, a ministry of the Lakeland Foundation. He was a member of the General Committee that sponsored the 1996 Billy Graham Crusade in Minneapolis, MN.

Dr. Alan Langstaff is a member of the Board of Directors for Church Growth International, directed by Dr. Paul Yonggi Cho, who pastors the world’s largest congregation in Seoul, Korea.

A gifted preacher and teacher, Dr. Alan Langstaff has an extensive ministry of spiritually stretching Christians, enabling them to enlarge their vision so that they may reach their full potential in Christ. To this end Dr. Alan Langstaff had traveled extensively throughout the United States and in many overseas countries speaking in churches and conferences of different denominations. He has also written a book called ‘Hedges.’

Dr. Alan Langstaff and his wife, Dorothy have two daughters, Beth and Joy and six grandchildren.”

Someone by the name of Pastor Fred Evans uploaded a video (see below) of Alan Langstaff “preaching”. Ps. Evans provided fascinating insights into the life of Alan Langstaff.

But before we read more on Langstaff, it is interesting to note that Fred Evans is related to Andew Evans, Russell Evans and Ashley Evans:

“I am a retired missionary/pastor who served for over 50 years in pentecostal ministry. My vocation as a missionary gave me many years of fulfilment in the cause of Christ. Evangelism and church planting in Papua New Guinea amongst the Abelam people’s of the East Sepik province became my passion.

After Papua New Guinea became independent, I returned to Australia with my family and served in a number of Churches in South Australia & Queensland. For ten years I served the Paradise Assembly of God in Adelaide, South Australia I later relocated to Queensland and pastored two significant churches in Brisbane and Toowoomba before retiring from full-time service in 2004.

In my retirement years I have had the privileged to engage in life long hobbies of photography, film making, gospel recordings and researching my ancestry. This collection of these videos are part of my history and are recorded for posterity.”

It is important to note that the Evans are board members of Yonggi Cho’s Church Growth International. Also notice Peter Wagner is also on the CGI.

Here is Apostle Alan Langstaff.

He also edited a national charismatic magazine called Vision Magazine, established a Bible College, and hosted the Australian PTL Club television program. In 1980, after he turned over the leadership of Vision Ministries/Australia to another leader, he moved to the USA to develop an international base for his ministry.

We have managed to track down the Temple Trust (now known as Vision Ministries) to this website:

History of Vision Ministries International

Vision Ministries International is led by Bishop Harry & Doreen Westcott who have been in Ministry for over 50 years both as pastors for 19 years firstly within the Methodist church and then the Uniting church. Joining Vision Ministries in 1981 they have led outreaches both nationally and across the world in an itinerant capacity. For six years they conducted those great “Charismatic Conferences” in all the capital cities of Australia. Now as well as birthing a local church called “Vision Fellowship”; they also conduct “National Camp Meetings”; in the 1100 seat auditorium called the “Go Forth Faith Arena”, “Australia’s Bush Cathedral” on “Mamre Farm”.

We hope to show you just how seriously devastating the propaganda of “Vision Magazine” and the demonic “Charismatic Conferences” were to Christianity in Australia.
