Apparently it doesn’t matter if someone tells Michael Brown who they are or not. If he hasn’t met you in person and you disagree with him then he won’t listen to you and you’ll end up on his “Naughty List.”

Michael Brown trying to discredit those who are anonymous is an ad hominem attack.

He’s attacking the person(s) rather than dealing with the topics that have been presented to him, and that is his way of hiding behind the mask of discernment. Since it is not a sin to remain anonymous, it shouldn’t matter who is asking the questions, what matters is Brown answering and clarifying the questions that have been presented to him.

If it is indeed a sin to remain anonymous we would like to see the Scripture verses in context that prove it. However, here is another verse to consider anonymity. We need to be wise if Christ has sent us out among wolves.

“Behold, I am sending you out as sheep in the midst of wolves, so be wise as serpents and innocent as doves. Beware of men, for they will deliver you over to courts and flog you in their synagogues, and you will be dragged before governors and kings for my sake, to bear witness before them and the Gentiles. When they deliver you over, do not be anxious how you are to speak or what you are to say, for what you are to say will be given to you in that hour. For it is not you who speak, but the Spirit of your Father speaking through you. Brother will deliver brother over to death, and the father his child, and children will rise against parents and have them put to death, and you will be hated by all for my name’s sake. But the one who endures to the end will be saved.” (Matthew 10:16-22 ESV)

It seems like the ones who will be saved are those who continue to trust in Christ crucified for their sins even when they are threatened or killed. If it was a sin to remain anonymous then Christians attending underground churches would be in grievous error and would have to repent of being ‘as wise as serpents and as innocent as doves” for being able to continue surviving in a dangerous environment, and worshipping the one true God at the same time.

  1. Gulley always posts sensibly on these websites and her anonymity (to him or to anyone else) for sure is not a negative reflection on her knowledge. she gets it. very good job Gulley. you are standing up to the Goliaths of today. and they (Dr Brown in this case) have no adequate nor sensible response to retort back, so they have to resort to deflection instead.

    • Gulley isn’t “anonymous”, that’s the point. She is a real person, but because she pushed back at Dr. Brown, she lost credibilty? Who is the hypocrite here #AskDrBrown

      Cheers, Team Churchwatch.

  2. That is so hilarious! Thanks Church Watch Central for sharing!!! I had told Barb and Chris Rosebrough about this.

  3. I could not believe my eyes when you wrote about my tweet to Michael Brown. Yeah, I can not longer see his twitter page; but, I did do this on twitter. @DrMichaelBrown you are afraid of girls.

It tagged him. I do not remember the rest of the tweet. There was more between the two of us.

  4. Brown did say that he grieved for those people (us) and I tweeted him back and said: They @piratechristian grieves for you.
