Kong Hee adds his own “oil” to God’s Word

Before we get you to read about the issue of Kong Hee’s fraudulent gimmick at CHC, we would like to address a technique that is exposed VERY WELL by Kong Hee’s ignorance.

When you compare the old literature of popular con men such as Brian Houston, Phil Pringle, Joyce Meyer, Beth Moore, Joseph Prince, Creflo Dollar etc, they are very careful how they represent themselves with words. They would groom their audiences to believe God was speaking to them- but not always directly. It might start off with something like this:

“I felt in my heart.”/”This thought came into my head.”
“God dropped in my spirit.”/”God put in my heart.”/”I heard an audible voice in my head.”
“God said to my spirit.”/”God said to my heart.”/”God spoke to my mind.”
“God said this to me.”

These false teachers know that Christians would not have believed them to begin with, if they were up front by stating, “God said to me.” Instead, they had to brainwash people into thinking God moves on them in mystical ways. These days they are far more brazen.

God speaks to Joyce directly now. God used to impress cryptic phrases on her “spirit.” #GodChanges

Kong is no different and uses vain imaginations to convince people of his ‘divine authority’. Look at the way Kong Hee represents how God spoke to him in the video attached (see article below):

“So as I was driving, I dropped Dayan off in school, I was driving back in the midst of heavy traffic and suddenly I thought, ‘you know what, why don’t we just get little bottles and just fill it up with olive oil, and give it to all our leaders…”

On FaceBook he states,

“Recently, I felt the Holy Spirit impressing upon my heart to give each of the leaders a bottle of the anointing oil. The Bible says we should offer the prayer of faith for the sick and oppressed, anointing them with oil in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ (James 5:14-15). We are for signs and wonders to the world. Let us step out powerfully in faith and believe God for supernatural encounters and miracles this week!”

So what is it?

Did Kong feel the Holy Spirit impress on his heart or did he suddenly think that he needed to get anointing oil?

This is the behaviour one would expect of a cult leader. He cannot tell the difference between his own thoughts and God’s thoughts. And if people believe Kong’s thoughts are God’s thoughts – then this is getting into VERY dangerous territory.

We say this in regard to how Kong Hee interpreted how this “Holy Spirit” impressed James 5:14-15.

“I want you to take this bottle of anointing oil, and the prayer of faith, and erase the sit… look, you know, if your home is going through a challenging time, anoint the situation at home, pray over those that are sick, that are going through challenges in their job.

Notice what Kong ADDED to God’s Word: “The Bible says we should offer the prayer of faith for the sick and oppressed“. Because he included “and oppressed”, this is why Kong was able to say the oil is used to pray for those “going through challenges in their job.”

And this is why Kong Hee is a false teacher. This is NOT what God is saying in James 5:13-14:

“Is anyone among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the church, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord. And the prayer of faith will save the one who is sick, and the Lord will raise him up. And if he has committed sins, he will be forgiven.” James 5:13-14

Notice it wasn’t the oil that did anything. James was emphasising the “prayer of faith.” So the so-called Holy Spirit that supposedly spoke to Kong Hee was no Holy Spirit at all. But lets keep reading James. Was God emphasising the power of oil, prayer or God? God says,

“Therefore, confess your sins to one another and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous person has great power as it is working. Elijah was a man with a nature like ours, and he prayed fervently that it might not rain, and for three years and six months it did not rain on the earth. Then he prayed again, and heaven gave rain, and the earth bore its fruit.” James 5:15-16

We hope you see the danger of listening to men like Kong Hee. He is not hearing from God. God did not put these thoughts into his head. Kong is a liar and is deliberately making God out to be a liar and giving people an excuse to blaspheme Jesus. It is God that cries, “How long will this continue in the hearts of these lying prophets, who prophesy the delusions of their own minds?” (Jeremiah 23:26)

It’s a shame that Kong Hee fails to reflect the Christian faith and the Christian nature that James is talking about in verses 15-16.

The Mothership writes,

Kong Hee fills bottles with olive oil, hands them out to “anoint” sick for miracles

‘… and suddenly I thought, you know what, why don’t we just get little bottles and just fill it up with olive oil, and give it to all our leaders.’

“The bible says that we need to as leaders in the church we need to anoint those who are sick, those that are going through a hard time with oil, and the prayer of faith is going to turn their situation around, that’s from James Chapter 5.

So as I was driving, I dropped Dayan off in school, I was driving back in the midst of heavy traffic and suddenly I thought, ‘you know what, why don’t we just get little bottles and just fill it up with olive oil, and give it to all our leaders…’

I mean there’s nothing magical in this, but our faith in the anointing of the Holy Spirit is going to bring us into signs, wonders and miracles and I know that’s God’s will for you and that’s God’s will for our church.”

  1. Just STUPID. One time I gave TBN $$ and they sent me anointing oil from Israel. When I was into charismania my now husband had asked me to marry him and I said NO because he lived like a pagan. Actually I was not much better. I was playing the organ one night while waiting to pick him up at work at 11 p.m. and I heard this voice, “This is the man you are to marry.” Well, we have never actually been “one” in the Lord until this year. Why would God tell me to marry an unbeliever? Boy, I was duped but God has turned it into good. We are now both Confessional Lutherans. My journey began by listening to Chris Rosebrough debunking The Circle Maker by Mark Batterson. I have NEVER seen my husband join into the worship service before NOW.
