Poor Billy Goat’s Gruff!

BILL JOHNSON DOES NOT HAVE A RELATIONSHIP WITH JESUS.

Included in the customer review section on Amazon, was a comment by Jennifer A Thompson where she rightly rightly points out the fact that the book ‘When Heaven Invades Earth’ by Bill Johnson, was written by a heretic:

Bill Johnson is a false teacher and in danger of the fires of hell if he does not repent and put his trust in Jesus Christ for his salvation. The Jesus is preaches is not the Jesus of the Bible, and therefore cannot save him.

Bill Johnson replied,

That is very hurtful and unkind. You know nothing about my relationship with Jesus, whom I love with all my heart.

It is a lie for Bill Johnson to claim to know Jesus. It is also a lie to say that he loves Jesus “with all my heart.”

For starters, a Christian is a DISCIPLE of Jesus. Jesus says,

“If you love me, you will keep my commandments.” John 14:15

When we compare what Bill Johnson teaches in his sermons, and his book ‘When Heaven Invades Earth’, there’s undeniable proof that he actually hates God. He is well known for his bible twisting and promoting New Age occultism and New Apostolic Reformation rubbish under the guise of Jesus’ teachings.

Furthermore, before the Apostle Paul was saved by Christ on the road to Damascus, he was not only a persecutor of the church, he did not possess the true knowledge of Christ. Look at what Jesus said to the Apostle Paul:

“And falling to the ground he heard a voice saying to him, “Saul, Saul, why are you persecuting me? … I am Jesus, whom you are persecuting.Acts 9:45

It’s a good reminder that those without the true knowledge of Christ aren’t just persecuting the church, they are persecuting Christ Himself. If Bill was accused of being a false teacher, then it might be worth him examining his teachings in case his spiritual crusades are against Christ Himself. But no – Bill Johnson’s feelings are more important than the truth.

In addition, it’s not hard to make the case that Bill Johnson is not even a Christian. Why? Jesus makes it explicitly clear that a false teacher or false prophet do not know Him:

“Beware of false prophets, who come to you in sheep’s clothing but inwardly are ravenous wolves. You will recognize them by their fruits. Are grapes gathered from thornbushes, or figs from thistles? So, every healthy tree bears good fruit, but the diseased tree bears bad fruit. A healthy tree cannot bear bad fruit, nor can a diseased tree bear good fruit. Every tree that does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire. Thus you will recognize them by their fruits.

“Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but the one who does the will of my Father who is in heaven. On that day many will say to me, ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name, and cast out demons in your name, and do many mighty works in your name?’ And then will I declare to them, ‘I never knew you; depart from me, you workers of lawlessness.’  Matthew 7:15-23 (ESV) (Emphasis added.)

This is why it is safe to say that Jesus Christ does not ‘know’ Bill Johnson. The reason being is because of what Johnson actually says about Jesus.

  1. Christianity believes that Jesus is God who was born of woman
  2. Bill Johnson believes that Jesus was born of woman… and was born again in hell.

Nowhere does the bible teach this. However, if Johnson wants to have a relationship with the one born for the Lake of Fire, then someone needs to lead Johnson to have a relationship with the real Jesus of scripture.
