FALSE PROPHET LANA VAWSER

Lana Vawser considers herself to be a “prophet” of God, giving prophetic words to the church and to the nations. She is a “prophet” on the Australian Prophetic Council (APC), is on the “prophetic” Elijah List (EL) network and recently spoke at the Australian Prophetic Summit. She has even appeared in the cult NAR propaganda rag “Charisma Magazine”.

Hopefully these “Christian” organisations will think twice before posting anything from Vawser after her appalling defense of Amanda Walls and her attack on YHWH in a recent FaceBook comment.

We launched the Guess Who? Elijah List Challenge: The Culprit in the Pulpit, in our attempt to expose the fact that people in the APC and the EL networks are frauds claiming to be prophets. We gave them months and notified them several times to expose the Culprit in the Pulpit for their fraud and blatant sins, by releasing clues.

The Culprit in the Pulpit was Amanda Wells, who spoke at the Australian Prophetic Summit (APS) with Lana Vawser, Kahtherine Ruonala (founder of the APC and host of the APS) and EL founder Steve Schultz. None of these guest prophets were able to predict that the Culprit in the Pulpit was preaching beside them.

With many accounts on FaceBook, we have been monitoring who will respond to the brazen sins of Amanda Wells. Recently, Vawser addressed the issue on her FaceBook wall.

OUR CRITIQUE

After reading her statement, we can conclude:

1. Vawser has read Weeding Out Wells

Firstly, Lana Vawser acknowledges that she has read the Weeding out Wells website and shared her issues about it:

“The problem with “Weeding out Wells” is it takes no consideration to the possibility that Amanda is hearing the same voice as others.”

The problem with this argument is the video plagiarisms of Amanda Wells. When you watch her orally plagiarise an article titled “6 Reasons for Every Entrepreneur Needs to Stay Current,” she is not just reading out the works of other people, she has copied and pasted the exact images of the plagiarised articles into a word document. Did the Holy Spirit inspire Amanda Wells to somehow find the EXACT images to put into her Word document presentations, Lana?

Not to mention Lana’s argument of Amanda Wells’ plagiarising other prophets simply meaning they were all hearing from the same God proves she either did not read the entire site, or proves that she lacks basic reading and comprehension skills. Wells was not just plagiarising prophecies and there is actully no claim as such on WOW. The claims are that she has plagiarised material from various people across the internet, and not all of them are even Christians.

Wells HERSELF put forward the opinion that no one should take another’s material and present it as their own and that one should always give credit to the original writer. (It’s the FIRST example on the site.) Clearly there was no integrity in that post, so how can one expect that any of her other writings and opinions hold any integrity? A pretty simple thing for even Vawser to understand.

2. Vawser is arguing that Wells was prophetically influenced by a pagan, unregenerate spirit.

And what does Lana Vawser mean when she says that Amanda Wells is “hearing the same voice as others”?

Other Christians?

By no means. The Weeding Out Wells website highlighted Amanda Wells plagiarising from non-Christian businesses and organisations.

When we were first notified of her plagiarism, we were given video of Amanda Wells shamelessly promoting non-Christian material. All she did was “Christianise” the language to disguise pagan practices. For instance, when a plagiarised article was promoting clearly non-Christian, new age meditation and Yoga to further oneself in the marketplace, Amanda Wells decided to reinterpret “meditation” and dropped off ‘yoga’ for her listening audience.

Yoga is a pagan practice in the Hindu religion. And here we have Lana Vawser saying that Wells’ sanitised plagiarism on pagan practices was inspired by the Holy Spirit?

Why is Vawser claiming that an unholy pagan spirit in non-Christians inspired Amanda Wells to write exactly the same material? That’s a pagan practice called “chanelling” and the bible calls that witchcraft.

Did Lana Vawser just realise she just claimed Amanda Wells is prophetically operating from the demonic and called her out as a witch? It makes one wonder if Lana Vawser “channels” the same unregenerate spirit as Amanda Wells and “writes” under this same “prophetic” influence,

3. Vawser promotes theft, deceit and lawlessness & attributes lawlessness to the Holy Spirit.

Furthermore, if Lana stands by this argument to defend the Culprit in the Pulpit Amanda Wells, then this will end in disaster. This is if a Christian ministry or secular business attempts to sue Amanda Wells for lying and stealing their material for financial gain. For false prophets like Lana Vawser to use this excuse is to attribute lies, theft and fraud to the Holy Spirit.

Lana Vawser – you should be ashamed of attributing lawlessness to the Spirit of God who you claim to speak on behalf of.

One also needs to consider Kenneth Hagin who plagiarised the work of E.W.Kenyon. When his plagiarism was bought to light, Hagin argued the same way that Lana Vawser did. The Kenyon family to this day are incredibly upset that Kenneth Hagin lied and had stolen their father’s work for ministerial gain (see D.R.McConnell – A Different Gospel).

So how do you feel Lana Vawser in standing with a thief who has blatantly ripped off other people? Forget the victims – defend the fraud. Is that what you call love Vawser?

4. Vawser promotes love of self rather than love of God and neighbour.

Lana Vawser asks,

“Does a prophetic message bring you closer to God?”

Lana Vawser is not appealing to love, nor truth, nor God’s Word. She is appealling to something completely subjective (which is the antithesis of truth). She is appealling to one’s selfishness.

We are the ones that feel sorry for the victims of Amanda Wells. Vawser bypasses this issue and appeals to selfishness, if a “prophetic message” brings one “closer” to God. In other words, who cares if Amanda lied and stole from other people, has her plagiarised work bought you closer to God?

What kind of sick and twisted prophet argues like this?

You’d expect that response from any false prophet of the Old Testament. A true old Testament Prophet would NOT appeal to one’s selfishness as the ultimate standard. They would preach with such authority that they would convict Israel of her wickedness, evils and spiritual whoredoms and reform her back to God.

Jesus Christ, through the Apostle Paul, also calls her out as a fraud when you compare her words to the criteria of a fraud:

“But understand this, that in the last days there will come times of difficulty. For people will be lovers of self, lovers of money, proud, arrogant, abusive, disobedient to their parents, ungrateful, unholy, heartless, unappeasable, slanderous, without self-control, brutal, not loving good, treacherous, reckless, swollen with conceit, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God, having the appearance of godliness, but denying its power. Avoid such people. For among them are those who creep into households and capture weak women, burdened with sins and led astray by various passions, always learning and never able to arrive at a knowledge of the truth.” 2 Timothy 3:1-7

5. Vawser operates like the subtle, cold-blooded beast that lost its legs

What is the point of Lana saying the following?,

“Does a prophetic message bring you closer to God? Does it encourage, comfort or exhort? Does the Holy Spirit confirm it in your heart? Does it contradict scripture? These are the questions we all should ask about prophecy, no matter who it comes from and how similar it is to others.”

Vawser’s questions are pointless. This is because they are DISTRACTING people from the real issue at hand:

Is Amanda Wells guilty or not of deceit, fraud and theft?

(We know another person as subtle as this before God and he lost his legs in a famous garden for deceiving God’s children.)

6. Even if Amanda is guilty of plagiarism, Lana thinks it is still wrong for Christians to believe the God and call her to publicly repent of her sins.

Lana writes,

“Even if a person ministers from self, we need grace in our approach, not singling them out and tearing them down. Some websites reap nothing but division and suspicion, which is in itself poor fruit, tantamount to wrong prophecy.”

There is no such thing as Biblical correction or discipline, according to Lana. No matter what culture you are in, if you break laws, codes and commands – there are consequences. Lana claims to speak from the highest authority. An authority that puts kings on thrones and criminals to jail and false prophets to death/excommuncation.

And yet her so-called divinely apointed authority wont even deal with the crimes of Amanda Wells.

To so fiercely defend a fraud at the expense of God’s righteousness and holiness puts her on incredibly dangerous ground. Pray that Lana Vawser repents of her spiritual crimes before God, repents of her selfishness and repents of her fear of man, repents of her blasphemies, repents of promoting lawlessness, repents of her hypocrisy, repents of her false prophetic office, repents of her false love and turns to the real Jesus who died for everyone of her vile sins.

7. Lana Vawser unintentionally condemned Amanda Wells actions. 

Lana writes:

“Some websites reap nothing but division and suspicion, which is in    itself poor fruit…”

Is this not acknowledging the poor fruit of Wells? If she did not plagiarise then their would be no division and suspicion of her legitimacy…. right?

Lana Vawser writes,

Hi ____. Our question is: How does one tell if a message has been copied or simply heard from the same ‘source’. We know of many times that prophetic messages appear, that share the same message, even using the same symbols and similar words, spoken by different voices with no possibility of copying. If we hear from the same God why could we not hear the same message from time to time.

The problem with “Weeding out Wells” is it takes no consideration to the possibility that Amanda is hearing the same voice as others. There seems to be no prayerful consideration, just point and shoot.

Does a prophetic message bring you closer to God? Does it encourage, comfort or exhort? Does the Holy Spirit confirm it in your heart? Does it contradict scripture? These are the questions we all should ask about prophecy, no matter who it comes from and how similar it is to others.
