Rick Joyner reveals Bob Jones’ Billion Soul Prophecy is false.

Rick Joyner recently uploaded an embarrassing prophetic ‘Word’ from God through his good friend, the late Bob Jones. His ‘prophecy’ in part reads:

“So, I see the next 10 years as one of the most awesome times of your lives. I also see the Harvest beginning in that time, that will never end. So that Harvest, it will begin there. It will be over a billion youth coming to the Lord. And everything I’m seeing is preparation for that now. Youth without number. And a youth will come to where they see the faith of God. I had a vision the other day, and I was on a train. So was you. And so were many people you know. And I asked the conductor, “What is this train?” He said, “It’s the Glory Train.” He gave me a capsule, a time capsule, and I said, “Does it open now?” He said, “No, but you’ve got it. It’ll open in three years.” (Full transcript below.)

SUMMARY:

The prophecy continues to evolve from the original back in 1975. In this version, Bob Jones links his 1975 revelation and finally gives some specific dates. Jones does not mention the Chiefs winning the Superbowl or talk about the evolution of human technology.

Instead, this version of the Billion Soul Prophecy envisions a significant spiritual revival beginning in 2020, where over a billion young people are expected to convert to Christianity. The prophecy claims that this period marks a shift from having “faith in God” to possessing the “faith of God.” Another vision is attributed to the Billion Souls Harvest in which Bob Jones sees a “Glory Train,” symbolizing the coming glory of God, with a ‘time capsule’ that will reveal a divine purpose after three years. The prophecy emphasizes the need for the church to prepare for specific leaders to take their rightful places to bring about this global revival and unity, culminating in an unprecedented move of God for this end-times harvest.

TRANSCRIPT:

Many years ago, the Lord told me that [in] the year 2020 we’d begin to come into the rest, and that coming into that rest is us resting in Him and Him resting in us. So, I think between this time and the 100-year prophecy, 2010–2020 will be the time of not faith in God but the faith of God. So, I think this is what she’s saying to you. Morning Star, you are getting ready to come into that place where you have that word ‘from God’ and the faith ‘of God’ to deliver it.

So, I see the next 10 years as one of the most awesome times of your lives. It’ll open in three years.”

So, you’re being prepared for the glory of God to come. And many years ago, in the early ’70s, I saw the glory of God often. And when He told me He was removing it, I asked Him to remove me, and He said no. He said I would live to see the glory of God again, and it would never end.

So, I think in this next 10 years, your preparation is to bring in the glory of God, and that train is already started. The Lord has already got His people on it. It’s going to come to a place of unity, and that time capsule will open. I think it’s going to be a strange time capsule because I think time was invented for man, not man for time. And I think we’re going back to the beginning of time, and He’ll begin to put time to gather us and His purpose in time.

So, I think the next 10 years, you’re going to come into your main purpose, but so are these out here, which means one of the greatest worldwide bringing into Christ of all time, glorifying Him. For He told me, when I totally might come back from death in ’75, that He was going to glorify Himself beyond anything that man had ever seen before. One billion youth. They will come to the glory. Next three years is really strong preparation. On this train, those that were with you were sitting. They would’t standing. I think those that are sitting are at rest so that He can fulfil His purpose in them. But the train’s on the way, and that which we’ve waited for is not long in coming. There’s just a three to four years of preparation for it. We’re not ready for it yet, and the reason we’re not ready for it yet is we haven’t got enough leaders into place.

So, I believe the Lord is ready, but people are going to have to take their rightful place in the body of Christ so that His purpose will come forth. So what He’s doing by the Holy Spirit is preparing us; He’s already ready.

FURTHER REFUTATION TO THE BILLION SOUL GARBAGE:

Thousands of church leaders are doing everything in their power to make this prophecy a reality. Look no further than the Billion Souls Network (which is now renaming itself to ‘Church Growth Network’). With Empowered21 being their international conference, they are attempting to convince churches and influential church leaders to believe that not only are they in midst of fulfilling Bob Jones’ vision, but that by the year 2033, a ‘Second Pentecost’ is coming.

This is why it is so important to continually document how this false prophecy has been evolving, being both tampered with, and adjusted, to accommodate the agenda of the doomsday, global New Apostolic Reformation dominionist cult. Here are some glaring issues as to why the above prophecy is blatantly false.

1. The Claim of a Specific Time for Global Revival:

Although Jones fluctuated between 2010-2020, he specifically dated that 2020 will mark the beginning of a massive global revival, culminating in the conversion of over a billion people. However, Scripture does not support the idea of predicting specific times for spiritual events or revivals. Matthew 24:36 emphasizes that no one can predict specific times for God’s actions, including global revivals.

“But concerning that day and hour no one knows, not even the angels of heaven, nor the Son, but the Father only”

2. The “Faith of God” concept:

The prophecy speaks of a time when believers will not just have faith in God but will possess the “faith of God.” This notion implies a shift in the nature of faith that is not biblically supported. The Bible consistently teaches about having faith in God, not about possessing the faith of God. The idea of possessing God’s own faith misrepresents the biblical teaching on faith, which is trust and reliance on God as. To prophesy we will have the faith ‘of God’ in these end times goes against the faith Jesus instructs us to have in Mark 11:22:

“Have faith in God…”

3. The ‘Time Capsule’ as a symbol in this prophecy:

The prophecy mentions a “time capsule” that will open after three years, revealing something significant related to God’s purpose. This concept of a time capsule is symbolic, speculative and very modern concept, not rooted in biblical prophecy. The introduction of unbiblical symbols, like a time capsule, can lead to false teachings and misunderstandings about God’s Word. Proverbs 30:5-6 warns us us NOT to add to His word:

“Every word of God proves true; He is a shield to those who take refuge in Him. Do not add to His words, lest He rebuke you and you be found a liar…”

4. The Idea that Man Controls God’s Timetable:

The prophecy suggests that man can influence or hasten God’s timetable, especially through preparation and leadership within the church. This is an undergirding theology of the NAR and New Order of the Latter Rain (NOLR) doomsday cults. This implies the ‘endtimes’ church has a level of control over divine actions. However, this has never been supported by Scripture. God’s timing is sovereign and not contingent on human actions or preparedness. In fact, it is cruel and heartless to suggest human beings can hasten Christ’s return so God can judge the world when we want him to.

To suggest God is too slow and the NAR can hasten God’s return showcases these false prophets having no understanding of God’s grace and patience as 2 Peter 3:9 says,

“The Lord is not slow to fulfill His promise as some count slowness, but is patient toward you, not wishing that any should perish, but that all should reach repentance.”

CONCLUSION:

This version of the Billion Soul Prophecy is presented as infallible by Bob Jones claiming it “was the Lord told me” revelation. If God says it – who is to question Bob Jones?  This appeal to divine authority can discourage critical examination, leading followers to accept the prophecy without question. However, this is a logical fallacy because the truth of the prophecy should be based on its alignment with Scripture, not solely on the claim of divine origin, as we’ve biblically disproven. An appeal to divine authority is not valid unless the authority is verifiable and consistent with established truth. In this case, the prophecy must be tested against Scripture, which is the ultimate authority for believers.

Then there’s the FOMO agenda. FOMO is a modern acronym meaning the ‘Fear Of Missing Out’. The prophecy also creates a false dilemma by suggesting that either people will prepare and take their rightful place in the body of Christ, or they will miss out on God’s purpose. This binary choice ignores other possible scenarios, such as God’s ability to work through His own sovereign will regardless of human action or outcome.

This false dilemma presents only two options when more possibilities exist. In reality, God’s purposes are not limited by human action or inaction, as He can accomplish His will in multiple ways.

It is clear the Billion Souls Prophecy is NOT of God. However, thousands of Christian leaders, churches and organisations believe in it. This latest version of the prophecy from Bob Jones points out that, in spite of it being a far cry from what God Himself says about Himself and the end times, the prophetic goal posts keep changing to suit anyone’s agenda within the New Apostolic Reformation.

Thank you Rick Joyner for this timely Billion Souls prophetic update. James O. Davis will not be happy hearing how this latest version may be affecting his agenda to bring down a ‘Second Pentecost’ by 2033 through his Billion Souls Network.
