The Demonslayer Movement – A Growing Threat of Abuse and Lawlessness in Contemporary Christianity.
Organizations such as The Roys Report, Ministry Watch, and The Trinity Foundation have taken significant steps to expose the abuses within movements like the NAR and its offshoots. The rise of these self-styled “Demonslayers” within the contemporary Christian church represents a troubling phenomenon characterized by spiritual abuse, lack of accountability, and blatant theological perversions.
While these leaders present themselves as ‘Apostles/Generals’ or ‘champions’ of deliverance ministry, exposing and expelling demonic forces, their actions often reveal patterns of predatorial and grifting behaviour. Rooted in the theological innovations of the New Apostolic Reformation (NAR), many who flirt with the facade of Demonslayer mask their connections to this controversial movement by appropriating Pentecostal and Charismatic language. This allows them to operate without the scrutiny often associated with the NAR while advancing teachings and practices that deviate significantly from orthodox Christian doctrine.

This article explores how the Demonslayer movement has developed within the framework of the NAR’s three-tiered approach to spiritual warfare. It examines their typical tactics for blending NAR ideologies with Pentecostal and Charismatic traditions to deceive their followers and critics and highlights how figures such as Benny Hinn and Mike Signorelli have cultivated a network of influence that fuels an ‘end-times’ agenda of the NAR movement. By situating this analysis within the broader context of modern evangelicalism, we aim to shed light on the systemic issues of abuse, deception, and theological drift into criminality (apostasy) within the Demonslayer movement.
Theological Foundations: The NAR and Spiritual Warfare
The NAR is a loosely organized but highly influential movement that promotes the restoration of modern-day apostles and prophets to govern the end-times church. The defining father figure of the Apostolic movement” and a “father figure to great men & women such as Chuck Pierce, Che Ahn, Cindy Jacobs, Rick Warren, John Maxwell, John Kelly, as well as advisor and friend of many more,” C. Peter Wagner advanced the idea that the church must engage in three levels of spiritual warfare:
- ground-level (personal deliverance),
- occult-level (regional spiritual influences), and
- strategic-level (territorial spirits and cosmic-level battles).
These concepts, though controversial, have been widely adopted by leaders within the Demonslayer movement.

While the NAR’s dominionist theology emphasizes the church’s role in reclaiming societal structures for Christ, its spiritual warfare framework has been adapted by Demonslayers to justify their dramatic, performative ministry style. This was recently seen again in Lou Engle’s Million Women event and Mike Signorelli’s Breakers Conference. At different times thorughout these day-long gatherings, these NAR Apostles, Prophets, New Breeds or Demonslayers engaged in all three of their spiritual levels of warfare.

These novel spiritual practices frequently bypass traditional theological accountability structures, allowing leaders to assert extraordinary spiritual authority without oversight over individuals. This also explains why many that are not connected to any form of accountability later assert, claim or use other close associates to become Apostles, Prophets or New Breeds. As individuals step into these extra-biblical roles, it is not uncommon for them to have extra-biblical dreams, visions, strategies and teachings to ‘educate’ people on fanciful spiritual ‘truths’.
Specifically from C. Peter Wagner within the New Apostolic Reformation, he has often reported on “new truths” that have emerged from within the NAR such as “identificational repentance,” “binding and loosing,” “prayer walks,” “generational curses,” “prophetic intercession,” “prophetic acts,” spiritual mapping,” “prayer evangelism” and “territorial spiritual warfare.” It was worth noting then that these specific NAR doctrines in ‘spiritual warfare’ did not originate in the Charismatic or Pentecostal camps – but only from within the NAR through their apostolic and prophetic leaders.

With the rise of spiritual warfare, NAR Apostles like John Eckhardt have played a crucial role in inventing a theology to identify spirits today in the world. The book ‘The Demon Hit List’ has provided a foundational heretical theology to many Apostles, Prophets and Demonslayers today.

(At this point we would like to stress that it is spiritually, intellectually and physically impossible and dishonest to suggest that Demonslayers and the New Apostolic Reformation are at all separate. Their extra-biblical teachings confirm they are one and the same. However, one could argue that just as Dr. Michael Brown, Joseph Mattera and Alan Hirsch were attempting to shapeshift so they could no longer be associated with the NAR, the Demonslayers are doing so as well. In fact, it could be argued that the Demonslayers did a better job shapeshifting to the point that Demonslayers Alexander Pagani and Mike Signorelli feel comfortable enough to openly protest any connection to the NAR.)
In earlier days, another famous book that helped develop the theology of the New Apostolic Reformation was ‘Pigs in the Parlor: The Practical Guide to Deliverance’ by Frank and Ida Mae Hammond.

And while many still adore him to this very day, Derek Prince also played a pivotal role in the 70s, 80s and 90s developing his own dangerous teachings on spiritual warfare and deliverance, often mainstreaming William Branham’s heretical teachings that helped form the New Order of the Latter Rain movement/revival. Many Christian researchers, investigators and evangelists allege that it is Derek Prince who mainstreamed the belief that Christians can be possessed. Doreen Virtue, Steve Kozar (Messed Up Church), John Collins (Leaving the Message) and Sean Christie (Revealing Truth) have also investigated this.

Misappropriation of Pentecostal and Charismatic Identity.
To avoid the stigma and scrutiny associated with the NAR, Demonslayers often present themselves as Pentecostal or Charismatic leaders. By invoking traditional Pentecostal terms such as “deliverance,” “spiritual gifts,” and “revival,” they blur the lines between their unorthodox practices and the historic Pentecostal movement. This tactic allows them to gain trust among followers who are unaware of the significant theological and practical differences between traditional Pentecostalism and NAR-influenced teachings.
A key distinction is the emphasis on unregulated apostolic authority within the Demonslayer movement. Historic Pentecostalism is rooted in doctrinal accountability and adherence to scriptural authority, while the NAR—and by extension the Demonslayer movement—relies heavily on subjective prophetic revelation and self-appointed authority figures that wield a high level of supernatural authority to help lead or govern their end-time ‘new wine skin’ church. In other words, you are accountable to their new order of Apostles, Prophets (and now Demonslayers) to fulfil their divine visions and strategies they receive from their god. This creates a dangerous environment where abusive practices can flourish unchecked.
Benny Hinn: The Godfather of Modern Spiritual Exploitation.
Aside from C. Peter Wagner, Derek Prince and John Eckhardt developing the heretical theology of the Demonslayer movement, Benny Hinn serves as a pivotal figure in the development of the Demonslayer ethos. Hinn’s ministry, characterized by theatrical healing crusades and extravagant claims of divine power, has long been criticized for its lack of transparency and financial exploitation of followers. According to reports by investigative journalists and watchdog organizations such as Trinity Foundation, Christianity Today and Ministry Watch, Hinn’s scandals, financial dealings and lavish lifestyle have drawn controversial scrutiny, with critics labelling him as either a “wolf in sheep’s clothing,” a “conman” or a “spiritual opportunist” rather than a legitimate minister. Their criticisms appear to be legitimate.

Hinn’s influence extends beyond his own ministry. Over decades, he has cultivated revival events based what he has imparted to people in the past and .
relationships with prominent NAR leaders, bolstering a network of scammers and opportunists that benefit his own financial interests and empirical expansions and has provided a blueprint for the next generation of spiritual elites to roll out. His innovative doctrines and pioneering endeavours into establishing a spiritual mafia-like syndicate across America and the world has been noted with his nefarious threats that if anyone questions Benny Hinn or his Apostolic networks, God will curse his detractors or God will even blow their heads off with a “Holy Ghost machine gun.”
In fact, it is argued Benny Hinn was pivotal in establishing a ‘culture of honour’ with his unique doctrines on the anointing. He is notoriously known for his “touch not God’s anointed” heresy and his infamous threats against any Christian man or woman that dared question Hinn, his associates and his global empirical network. It is upon his global foxtrotting crusades and global networks that Christianity is starting to see an established syndicate emerge from within the NAR, something that will be talked about later in this article. The unwritten rules are to never question or hold anyone accountable in these global networks and to ensure ‘the family’ profits at all cost.

Among those emerging as key figures in this movement are men like John Bevere, Lou Engle, David Hernandez, Michael Koulianos, Benjamin Fitzgerald and Demonslayer Vladimir Savchuk. Although Hinn’s ministry emphasises healings, signs and wonders, he has been observed to raise up people often obsessed with the demonic such as Apostles John Bevere, Lou Engle, Ben Fitzgerald and Demonslayers like Vladimir Savchuk.
Specifically with John Bevere (who was heavily influenced by the dangerous ‘Heavy Shepherding Movement’), Bevere played an essential role in downplaying the life-threatening ‘touch not God’s anointed’ heresy to the more globally accepted ‘Culture of Honour’ heresy. In many cases, Apostle John Bevere is paid to at speak at conferences or networks of churches to pull people in line. That is, if they question, think critically or have issues towards their leaders, prophets or apostles, they are opening themselves up to the demises of the devil or the lack of God’s blessing.

What the Demonslayers all have in common with Benny Hinn is their blend of charismatic showmanship and spiritual authority while amplifying the movement’s reach through social media platforms. However, this new schtick is encouraging grifters around the world to step into this NAR office of Demonslayer – thus a new evangelical industry is born to con and control the masses, creating an empire that tightly controls it’s victims and squashes anyone who dares speak out against this new Demonslayer network.
On top of that, Bevere’s fear control theology slots nicely into the apostolic ministries of demonslayers, convincing or paralyzing followers of the demonslayers into thinking that it is potential demons that make them question their leaders.
So are you questioning apostolic demonslayers like Mike Signorelli, Vladimir Savchuk, Daniel Addams, Isaiah Saldivar, Matt Morton or Leon Du Preez? Then you probably have a demon. And to all those Christians that attend other denominations that question what these NAR Apostles, Prophets and Demonslayer – they probably have demons or spirits as well.
Their monologue to anyone that believes the bible above the Demonslayer? You either always wrong, have a demon or a curse.
The Demonslayer Network: A Spiritual Syndicate.
The Demonslayer movement operates much like a syndicate, leveraging fear-based narratives of demonic oppression to establish control over their followers. By portraying themselves as uniquely anointed to confront spiritual darkness, they command loyalty and financial support from individuals desperate for deliverance (or who they think need deliverance).
This network’s structure, while informal, is marked by strategic alliances among leaders who share a common interest in perpetuating the movement. Figures like Mike Signorelli, Isaiah Saldivar, Vlad Savchuk have utilized platforms such as YouTube and Instagram to cultivate massive audiences, many of whom are unaware of the NAR’s influence on their teachings.
The lack of accountability within this syndicate is one of its most alarming features. Unlike traditional denominations, which typically have established oversight mechanisms, the Demonslayer movement operates independently, allowing leaders to evade scrutiny for their actions. This has led to numerous allegations of spiritual abuse, financial misconduct, and theological malpractice.

Furthermore, critics and researchers of the demonslayer phenomena have observed the striking parallels to the dynamics of a mafia don, where charismatic leaders draw followers into a tightly controlled system of high loyalty, claiming to offer protection or salvation from perceived threats throughout their networks. In similar fashion, these up and coming spiritual “godfathers” of the Demonslayer movement enforce loyalty and silence dissent, while ensuring their financial and organizational interests are prioritized.
This lawless structure enables the perpetuation of abuse, both spiritual and material, while insulating leaders from accountability.
Criminal Redemption Narratives and the Apostolic Role.
An emerging trend within the Demonslayer movement is the recruitment of individuals with criminal, morally questionable pasts or who have carefully redesigned their testimonies, who are then elevated to roles of significant spiritual authority, often under the guise of Apostle, Prophet or Demonslayer. This redemption narrative is often marketed as proof of God’s transformative power, but in practice, it creates an unsettling parallel to mafia organizations. Rarely are people completely born again with addictions or behaviours miraculously occur. However, specifically as Apostles, Prophets, New Breeds or Demonslayers
Just as the mafia valorizes its reformed members while maintaining an underlying structure of control and exploitation, the Demonslayer movement celebrates these individuals while overlooking the accountability and doctrinal grounding required for genuine spiritual leadership.
See: Dawn Hill’s official roasting of ‘Apostle’ Alexander Pagani.
Figures with questionable pasts are granted unregulated authority, bolstered by sensational testimonies and emotional, experiential and performative ministries. This practice not only erodes the integrity of the church but also places vulnerable followers at risk of exploitation.
By prioritizing charisma, dramatic narratives, new and fancy labels, extra-biblical revelations/ teachings over biblical qualifications for leadership (and encouraging a ‘boys club’ network that has been a long-term agenda in the NAR), the Demonslayer movement perpetuates an unreliable structure that perpetuates a system of abuse and unaccountability.

Recognizing and Addressing the Threat.
The Demonslayer movement poses a significant threat to the health of the global church.
Rooted in the abusive and unaccountable practices of the NAR, this network of leaders leverages fear, manipulation, and deception to expand their influence and control. By portraying themselves as uniquely anointed to confront spiritual darkness, they command loyalty and financial support from individuals desperate for deliverance. And by appropriating Pentecostal and Charismatic terminology, they create a façade of legitimacy that conceals their deeper New Apostolic Reformation theological and practical deviations.
To address this growing threat, the church must prioritize discernment and accountability. Christian organizations and individuals are now calling out the abuses from within the Demonslayer phenomenon and assisting local churches to equip their members with a biblical understanding of spiritual warfare that is rooted in scripture, not sensationalism. Dawn Hill of ‘Lovesick Scribe‘, Jake Elliot of ‘The Framework‘ and Nikita Lopez of ‘Fear Not, Speak Boldly!‘ are just a few channels giving specific focus to the Demonslayers. Specifically, Dawn Hill has done extensive research into some of the details of their books and testimonies, her recent exposure video on the fraudulent testimony of Demonslayer Alexander Pagani causing what the reaction in evangelicalism.
By shining a light on the practices and ideologies of the Demonslayer movement, the church can protect its members from exploitation and uphold the integrity of the gospel message. Below are just a handful of the most popular demonslayers climbing to roost at the top of the Axis of Apostasy:

Resist the demonslayers, and they will flee.
