Todd Bentley reveals spirits of dead men imparted anointings on his ministry?

It is important for Christians to realise that it is impossible to separate the New Order of the Latter Rain (NOLR) of the 194o-50s from the Charismatic Renewal Movement (CRM) in the 1960-70s and the New Apostolic Reformation (NAR) in the 1980-90s. This is because all their teachings can be traced back to the NOLR movement.

The New Apostolic Reformation cult.

As we have pointed out in previous articles, Pentecostalism back in 1949 disapproved of the New Order of the Latter Rain for unbiblical practices:

aog-1949-logo

“RESOLVED, That we disapprove of those extreme teachings and practices which, being unfounded Scripturally, serve only to break fellowship of like precious faith and tend to confusion and division among the members of the Body of Christ, and be it hereby known that this 23rd General Council disapproves of the so-called, ” New Order of the Latter Rain” , to wit:

1. The overemphasis relative to imparting, identifying, bestowing or confirming gifts by the laying on of hands and prophesy.”

And we have demonstrated this is why top leaders in the CRM and NAR are not of the Christian faith because they still practice these heretical and blasphemous methods today.

Pentecostalism condemns Bill Johnson, Oral Roberts, Che Ahn & Yonggi Cho

This form of impartation got out of control in the late 2000s. When the controversial John Crowder entered the scene, this encouraged many NAR Apostles and leaders like Bill Johnson to start receiving impartations from the dead. This teaching originated with Benny Hinn.

However, people may not be aware that Todd Bentley also encouraged the practice of receiving impartations from the dead.

In fact, Bentley was brazen enough preaching at Lakeland to say that God used the dead he encountered in visions to impart their anointing on Todd Bentley so he can minister with their healing powers. These dead men were T.L. Osborne and William Branham. Osborne’s ministry was deeply impacted by the false gospel and satanic ministry. (Listen to the podcast in the below link to see why his ministry was satanic.)

Exposing the New Apostolic Reformation’s roots: William Branham & his heretics

God forbids contact with the dead (necromancy). For Todd Bentley to attach God’s name to a practice that God Himself forbids is blasphemy. Remember, Bentley is the Healing Evangelist C. Peter Wagner, Bill Johnson, John Arnott, Rick Joyner who aligned Todd Bentley under their Apostolic authority and who some themselves commissioned as an Apostle of Jesus Christ.

These Apostles are siding with a man who is not afraid to practice heresy in the name of Jesus Christ. In fact, the sermon in which he preached this was titled ‘Releasing the Virtue of Jesus – Part 1’. To teach that these dead heretics were releasing the ‘virtue of Jesus’ into the ministry of Todd Bentley is straight out demonic. You couldn’t teach anything more offensive. (Click here to read the entire sermon in context to see that is EXACTLY what Todd Bentley was teaching.)

Aligned Todd Bentley and Bentley’s ministry under his NARpostleship

Todd Bentley teaches,

“As many of you are aware, God teaches us through supernatural occurrences; for example, through dreams , and visions. I say that because of the impact that two recent visions had on me. Real supernatural faith was imparted into my inner man on both occasions. Please let me share these two encounters with you.

In the first vision, the scene was in black and white and I was actually translated back in time to 1955 right into a theatre where William Branham was conducting a service. He was on the platform moving in supernatural faith, the word of knowledge, and healing. I was standing on the side of the platform thinking: God what am I doing here in 1955? William Brenham was ministering and then he turned to me (in this vision), walked up to me, grabbed my hand with his hand and I instantly felt an electrical charge go through my arm–impartation–it was supernatural faith.

The second vision happened recently when I was in Indonesia worshipping at our meeting, waiting to be called up onto the platform. As I stood there worshipping, all of a sudden everything was black and white and once again I was translated back in time, only this time it was the year 1957 in a tent meeting where Oral Roberts was conducting a healing crusade. Once again I received an impartation for supernatural faith.

Historically, by 1957, the hand of God was being lifted off the healing movement [known as the Voice of Healing], so I asked God why I had these two encounters. He said, “That’s when it [the healing movement] was still pure, just before it was over. I am redeeming and giving that anointing back into the church today.” Friends, this is the day! This is the hour!

Right after this revelation, I recalled an amazing healing in our meeting when a tumor exploded out of a woman’s body. So I said, “God that is just like what happened in A. A. Allen’s healing ministry . . . the tumors are exploding out of their bodies!” He said, “That is just the beginning!” Wow!”
