The Apostle Paul said the following to Timothy:
“But understand this, that in the last days there will come times of difficulty. For people will be lovers of self, lovers of money, proud, arrogant, abusive, disobedient to their parents, ungrateful, unholy, heartless, unappeasable, slanderous, without self-control, brutal, not loving good, treacherous, reckless, swollen with conceit, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God, having the appearance of godliness, but denying its power. Avoid such people.” 2 Timothy 3:1-5
Rather than avoid such people, Casey Treat invited ‘such people’, that being the apostate and disqualified Brian Houston. And Brian Houston did not fail to disappoint in grooming Treat’s congregation to make his sermon all about himself, making him look a Nelson Mandela and King David.
Casey Treat announced the following:
“Church family, we have a very special weekend planned that you don’t want to miss. Surprise guest, a church family favourite – Pastor Brian Houston! No one speaks faith and vision like Pastor Brian. Bring your friends and family to church this weekend, don’t miss it.”

It is concerning that Casey Treat thinks that “No one speaks faith and vision like Pastor Brian.” Only a few weeks ago, Brian Houston spoke judgment and condemnation against his own Hillsong movement and its leadership.
No Brian, this is what happens when you build an organisation that demands loyalty rather than integrity. It can only cover up so much, for so long.
The irony is that Brian Houston put all these men who hold to his unbiblical theology in these positions – and now he’s not afraid to call them and his movement corrupt? So how does Brian Houston at all speak “faith and vision” when all that did in his movement was, as he said, cause corruption? A review of the ‘sermon’ will follow in a separate article.
