Franklin Hall played a pivotal role in the New Order of the Latter Rain (NOLR) cult of 1948. His dangerous theology on prayer and fasting significantly impacted the beliefs and practices leading up to the NOLR revival. His most famous work at the time, ‘Atomic Power with God with Fasting and Prayer’ inspired many to engage in his teachings in their attempt to see the supernatural manifest. The impact of his work is felt across the evangelical world today, promoted at popular crusades and revivals like Billy Graham, Kathryn Kuhlman, Benny Hinn and Reinhard Bonnke crusades and the laughing revival, Toronto Blessing, Brownsville Revival, Argentinian revival, Lakeland revivals and the Call rallies.
The gospel of the New Order of the Latter Rain became a bastardised version of AB Simpson’s healing gospel in the late 19th century. Since then, it has evolved to reflect the power of God to manifest in meetings to bring healing, prosperity, deliverence, influence, ‘revival’ and the spread of God’s dominion across nations and across the world.
In fact, Apostle Lou Engle often revives and speaks on Hall’s Latter Rain literature to promote people to fast and pray leading up to his events.

Franklin Hall: “My wife, Sister Helen Hall, and she’s going to come up here and witness to you and tell you some things about it, and make it simple. Because we find that body felt as well as heart felt salvation simple is not known about too much today in the world. And I’m sure you folks who are out here would like to know about it, you’d like to know more about it anyway. And if you will listen a little bit, I believe it will change your life, I believe you will not be the same. Now it’s wonderful to have Jesus in your heart, and we believe in the blood of Jesus, but a lot of people have Jesus on the inside and the devil’s works on the outside. A lot of the sinner’s diseases are on the saints, the saints have the same identical diseases that the sinners have.
They have the sinner’s ulcers, the sinner’s cancers, the sinner’s tuberculosis, why? Because they only got half saved, and then sad to say, they only got half a baptism. They got Jesus on the inside, they spoke in Acts 2, the 2:4 tongues, seems like that’s all they know, Acts 2:4. Do you know ladies and gentleman, there’s 47 verses of that wonderful Pentecostal chapter. [Glitch] Lets’ take the whole Bible, take the whole blessings, the whole redemption, the whole salvation that Jesus Christ loves. And Sister Helen Hall is coming up here now to tell us about it.”
