This article will look at the New Apostolic Refomation (NAR) cult and it’s members that are involved within the ‘Apostolic Council of Prophetic Elders’ (ACPE) organisation. Those involved in the New Apostolic Reformation cult love status and love playing word games. This means that there is more to the name of this institution that meets the eye. And if you think about the name, it is implying those involved in it are “Apostolic,” not just “Prophetic.” This is so that people can evolve from the “prophetic” status to the highest status in the NAR – the Apostolic status.
It is made quite clear when they state,
“This group is chaired by C. Peter Wagner and involves some the leading apostolic prophets from the nations.”

Apostolic prophets?
And this is evident considering that the majority of those in the ACPE are recognized NARpostles in this NAR organization. For instance:
James Goll, Bill & Jane Hamon, Tom Hamon, Mike & Cindy Jacobs, Chuck Pierce, John & Paula Sandford, Dutch Sheets, Tommy Tenney (A Oneness Pentecostal) and Peter & Doris Wagner are all NARpostles.
The below information on those who are of the ACPE was collected from the Elijah List back in 2006:

WHAT IS THE APOSTOLIC COUNCIL OF PROPHETIC ELDERS?
The ACPE use these verses to justify their ACPE antics:
“Now there were in the church at Antioch prophets and teachers, Barnabas, Simeon who was called Niger, Lucius of Cyrene, Manaen a lifelong friend of Herod the tetrarch, and Saul. While they were worshiping the Lord and fasting, the Holy Spirit said, “Set apart for me Barnabas and Saul for the work to which I have called them.” Then after fasting and praying they laid their hands on them and sent them off.” Acts 13:1-3
It is important to note that Saul and Barnabas were APOSTLES that were in this meeting. So when the ACPE use Acts 13:1-3 to deceive people into thinking they are being biblical in giving the impression they are prophets – they clearly missed the point of what the Holy Spirit was doing in the New Testament.
The Holy Spirit through the prophets gave a clear direction to set apart “Barnabas and Saul for the work [He has] called them” in relation to evangelizing to gentile nations. However, the ACPE claim they meet, “annually before the New Year to pray and seek the Lord for a word.” That’s NOT what the Christian prophets in Acts 13:1-3 were doing at all. While the Holy Spirit spoke through the early church prophets to commission Apostles Barnabas and Saul, the pagan ACPE prophets use their “word” to offer a propehtic zodiac-like onesy to the gullible.
It’s painful to watch the omniscient, all-powerful Jesus Christ be reduced to a pathetic idiot
through the lips of self-appointed uneducated dolts.
This is what Cindy Jacobs can tell us about the APCE:
“Since 1999, the Apostolic Council of Prophetic Elders has met annually before the New Year to pray and seek the Lord for a word. In 2011, we added a group of emerging prophetic leaders that we now consider fully seasoned members of our roundtable; their input is included into this word of the Lord.
The ACPE has the conviction that we are to function as an Acts 13:1-3 group. This passage notes that it was the Holy Spirit releasing a prophetic word as a consensus of the prophets, as opposed to the exclusive utterance of any one prophet. In the same way, even though this is a compilation of the prophecies that we each brought to the roundtable meeting, it was the general consensus of the ACPE members that the Holy Spirit was speaking the following prophetic words to us.”
