Recently, Chris Rosebrough called out the New Apostolic Reformation (NAR) for covering up the fraudulent ministry of Amanda Wells. Specific names he mentioned were the following: Apostle Che Ahn, Apostle Katherine Ruonala, Apostle Cindy Jacobs and Apostle Steve Shultz. You can read the transcript of his statement on the Apostolic cover-up here:
Rosebrough calls out Amanda Wells cover up by major NAR leaders (Part 1)
This article will look at some of the important things in the Che Ahn sermon review in relation to Chris Rosebrough’s statement about the Apostolic cover-up and with the deceitful claims by Dr Michael Brown about the NAR.

The New Apostolic Reformation cult preach a false Jesus, false gospel and New Age metaphysical teachings and strategies in an attempt to bring heaven to earth.
THE IMPORTANCE OF THE CHE AHN SERMON REVIEW
Chris Rosebrough states below,
“Now here’s where we kinda gotta pay attention to something here. Is that in the NAR, (and this is one of the reasons why we are doing our Che Ahn sermon review today) […] churches align themselves under the covering of different “apostles”. […] And so here’s the idea […] Che Ahn would be the “Apostle” of Katherine Ruonala, Cindy Jacobs would be the Apostle for Steve Shultz of the Elijah List and things like this. And all these people are claiming or receiving direct revelation from God.
Rosebrough decided to review a sermon of APOSTLE Che Ahn who spoke at Katherine Ruonala’s Glory City Church. This sermon makes ‘God’s General’/Apostle, Michael Brown, out to be a liar, confirming that there is such thing as the NAR and not a mythical “so-called” NAR.
Chris Rosebrough gives a bit of background to this sermon review:
“We’re going to note, he’s doing the apostolic thing. He’s speaking as an apostle. He’s giving them the strategy that he’s receiving from God for them. Which kind of begs the question:
Since Che Ahn is the Apostle of note over there at Glory City Church, Amanda Wells was quite active at this time and also was already, well, the Culprit in the Pulpit. Uh-uh! How come God, in speaking to Che Ahn, the Apostle there in giving them the Word for Glory City Church didn’t say, “Hey! You know that Amanda Wells woman. She’s a plagiarist. She’s an habitual liar. She lies about herself, her own stories, her credentials, who steals other people’s stuff and treats it as if it was here own. She’s a false prophet. You need to do something about that?”
Rosebrough also highlighted the NAR Covering Heresy in his statement regarding Amanda Wells. We personally tracked down the sermon Chris reviewed and listened to it thoroughly. The MC of the evening specifically talked on the Covering heresy (see video below).
“And all these people [Stacey Campbell, Brian Simmons, etc] have recognized Che and his leadership and the anointing that is on his life. The favor. And we believe in Covering. We believe in apostolic connection but also apostolic relationship- that’s it’s not just a business agreement, it’s a relational connection. And I know Katherine is able to call Che whenever she needs to if she’s ever got questions. The wisdom he has on his life, the rich revelation he has on his life…” [Source]
So there you have it. Che Ahn is an Apostle because other fraudulent Apostles and Prophets recognize him for “his leadership and the anointing that is on his life” therefore qualifying him as an NARpostle. And from their own mouth, Katherine Ruonala and Glory City Church are under his Apostolic covering. They are under his divine apostolic protection.
But in hindsight, Che Ahn FAILED as a NARpostle to save Katherine Ruonala and Glory City Church from the plagiarist and liar Amanda Wells.
But rather than address the criminality occurring in Glory City Church, Che Ahn operated as a NARpostle, revealing what the “Holy Spirit” was saying to the church through the NAR cult’s false prophets – namely:
- Loren Cunningham (a false prophet who claimed that through he and two others, God birthed the 7 Mountain Mandate to effectively transform the world to receive the gospel) and;
- Bob Jones (a disgraced false prophet who sexually seduced women in his church office under his prophetic authority).
Che Ahn said the following about Cunningham:
“The Lord spoke to him [Cunningham] and said, ‘This is going to be the greatest revival in the history of the church. It’s going to be the fulfillment of Habakkuk 2:14, that the glory of the knowledge of God will cover the earth as the waters cover the sea’.”
Che Ahn then talked about how he was reminded of a prophetic word Bob Jones gave in 1983 and expanded on it, explaining how this shaped him and his ministry to get ready to try and receive “the harvest of 1 billion souls.” So here is the NARpostle listening to the NAR prophets Cunningham and Jones, hearing what the “Spirit says to the churches.” And what do NARpostles do once they hear the Word of the NAR Prophets?
They strategize.
And that is EXACTLY what Che Ahn did in this sermon.
LAWLESS APOSTLES DIVIDING THE CHURCH
Che Ahn demonstrated no shame sharing how he was outworking his apostolic strategy through the church.
“Well one of the things I believe that is my job is I’m to raise up as many Apostles, Prophets, Evangelists, Pastors, Teachers to be commissioned, to be empowered. Because we need leadership for the harvest. And it was such a privelege to commission 40 apostles and prophets in the past week at the HIM Conference. The second thing I’m doing is I’m trying to establish Apostolic Centers around the world. And we are- [points to glory city church] this is an Apostolic Center. There is a difference between a local church and an apostolic Center. The main difference is that whoever’s leading that Apostolic Center has to be called as an Apostle.
And I’ve had the privilege of commissioning your pastor, Katherine, to be an Apostle, not just a local church pastor. And so this is an Apostolic Center. As a hub for equipping, launching and sending people out. And so that is what an Apostolic Center does…
… And so we’re really living in a very exciting time. And so, my goal is to establish an Apostolic Center in every major city around the world. And so we got a lot of work to do. And this is just doing our part in our network of Harvest International Ministry.”
Notice that the NAR don’t preach the gospel. They preach their own power gospel. (AKA. Gospel of the Kingdom.)
Notice that the NAR don’t promote evangelism. They operate in power evangelism.
Notice that the NAR don’t promote ministry. They promote in power ministries.
It cannot be stressed enough how much damage they have caused the church through their elitist doctrines and practices to the point that they are now separating themselves distinctively from the visible Christian Church. In the quote above, one can conclude that Che Ahn has nothing to do with Christianity considering he is establishing not Christian churches but ‘Apostolic Centers’ – a foreign teaching and practice within the Christian faith that has never been seen or heard before until now.
LOOK AT CHE AHN’S DEFINITION
He deliberately pits these NAR “churches” against Christian churches: “There is a difference between a local church and an apostolic Center.” The difference?
- Structure: “The main difference is that whoever’s leading that Apostolic Center has to be called as an Apostle.”
- Function: An Apostolic Center is a “hub for equipping, launching and sending people out.”
- Location: Apostolic Centers are to be established “in every major city around the world.”
1. Who are Che Ahn, Katherine Ruonala, Bill Johnson, Rick Warren, Steven Furtick, Brian Houston, Phil Pringle,
Yonggi Cho, Michael Brown, Sunday Adelaja, etc?
They are Apostles.
2. What do all their events attempt to do?
Equip, launch and send people out.
(As Steven Furtick bluntly put it, “If you want to know Jesus, I am sorry to break it to you, this church is not for you. You are in the army now.” These Apostles (Generals) don’t make disciples – they rally “Joel’s Army” together, “equip” them and send them out to to grow their movements.)
3. Where do you find these Apostolic ministries?
You will find the majority of them “in every major city around the world.”
(Look at where Hillsong, CHC and C3 deliberately plant their churches. They also go after the people of influence (celebrities, successful businessman, etc.) to fulfill the 7 Mountain Mandate. And look at the target of many of these other NARpostolic Centers/Ministries – places of influence. The NAR give the impression they care for the poor but in fact completely disregard the bible on this issue:
“Religion that is pure and undefiled before God the Father is this: to visit orphans and widows in their affliction,
and to keep oneself unstained from the world.” James 1:27
So we can thank Che Ahn for helping Christianity identifying an NAR cult (aka Apostolic Center) by their structure, function and location. However, he didn’t stop there. He claimed the Pope of Roman Catholicism is Christian (as the majority of NAR leaders do) which is not true at all:
“And this is not to cast aspersions on the Catholic Church. I love the whole church. And I have a lot of born again, spirit-filled Catholics who are priests who are my friends. And I believe the Pope – the pope was just in our country – is a Spirit-filled Catholic believer.”
And just as the NAR rewrite Pentecostal history, NARpostle Che Ahn distorts the history of Luther and the Reformation by audaciously claiming that Luther was peddling the false NAR ‘Gospel of the Kingdom’. He suggests that repentance,
“… literally means to change your thinking. Alright? To do a paradigm shift. And then turn from sin for heaven is now within reach. I mean, how many know you don’t have to die to experience heaven? That you can have heaven here on earth? ‘On earth as it is in heaven.’ And that’s the revelation we are still walking out.“
And do you know why Che Ahn is saying all this? Why he is bringing up the prophecies? The billion souls harvest? The “spirit-filled” Roman Catholic Pope? Apostolic Centers?
It’s time Michael Brown stops lying to the body of Christ and take note of what Che Ahn is saying to Glory City Church (emphasis ours):
“We are living in the most exciting period of what I would call the Apostolic Reformation. And I need to explain that…”
“And we’re in this period where God is bringing about Reformation of the church and of society. And I mentioned Apostolic Reformation. What He’s doing is raising up Apostles. He’s getting the Government of the church in order. Ephesians 2:20 says the church is founded upon Apostles and Prophets, Christ Jesus being the cornerstone. And once the church gets the government in place, then the harvest then can come and we can do a better job of empowering people to prepare for the next wave that will be coming afterwards.”
There is no difference between ‘Gods General’/Apostle Michael Brown and Apostle Che Ahn. And frankly, neither of them appear to care about the cover-up that is taking place among the Elijah List prophets.
