Brian Houston has recently announced the upcoming publication of his latest book, to be titled ‘THERE IS MORE’. Below you can read what Brian Houston has to say about it. Can we expect him to be as ‘faithless to Christ’ in this book as he has been in all his other self-indulgent, self-promoting books?
NOTE ONE – SCHEDULED PUBLICATION JUST BEFORE CONFERENCE
The book is scheduled to be released on April 2018. If it like anything we’ve seen in the past, Brian Houston may once again make the conference all about his books.
Understanding the true nature of a Hillsong Conference….selling Houston’s merchandise.
NOTE TWO – HOUSTON MISLEADS HIS PUBLISHER
Brian Houston’s blog states he ‘is set to author a new book with WaterBrook’. Andrew Stoddard ‘will serve as the editor’.
But what has Houston made Stoddard believe about his church? For starters, Stoddard stated that Hillsong was “founded in Australia” which started “from a little gathering”. This is false. It was a church plant, an offshoot of his fathers church ‘Christian Life Centre’.
But according to Brian Houston, his father Frank Houston founded the Hillsong movement.
“In 1999, my father Frank Houston decided to step back from day-to-day running of his church, Sydney Christian Life Centre, and passed the baton of leadership on to me. What an honour for Bobbie and me to continue building on the foundations laid by my parents. It was also a tremendous responsibility as we were already pastoring Hills Christian Life Centre in Sydney’s north west. Today Hillsong Church continues what was started in 1977, with our two major worship centres, a city-wide network of cells, and contributing services and ministries all adding to the expansion of future generations.”

In the book excerpt above published in the year 2000, Brian attempts to cover up the crimes of his pedophile father.
The reason being, Frank Houston was the one who handed over his entire church empire to his son. And Brian Houston was using the credibility, popularity and influence of his father by covering for his father and bolstering his own influence. That failed when ex-AOG pastor Philip Powell (on cwm.org.au) exposed the Hillsong and Australian AOG cover-up. His coverage caused Tanya Levin’s friend to contact Brian’s personal assistant, which caused Brian to respond immediately to his church… 3 years later after he knew of his father’s pedophilia.
Brian Houston misled his church as to where the abuse happened, suggesting it was all in New Zealand. He then misled news reporters Kelly Bourke in 2002 and Greg Bearup in 2003 to cover up the pedophilia in Australia and convinced the Australian public it all happened in New Zealand. However the Royal Commission revealed that Brian Houston covered it up in Australia and neglected to report the incident to the police. In other words, because he didn’t report his father’s crimes in Australia, he committed a criminal offense.
Furthermore, Brian Houston has led WaterBrook and his editor to believe a different story about himself and Hillsong:
“Pastor Brian Houston leads and communicates from a deep sense of conviction and passion. As a true visionary and cultural pioneer, Brian has helped to shepherd and grow Hillsong Church from a little gathering in Australia to one of the most prominent spiritual influences in the world…”
What Stoddard and Waterbook have said about Brian Houston is inaccurate.
In fact, the Royal Commission suggested the police investigate Brian Houston’s involvement in covering up the crimes of his father. And to make matters worse for Houston, evidence suggests that Brian Houston not only lied to the Royal Commission, he maligned its reputation, which is potentially a jailable offense.
Does a publishing house really want to align itself with such a questionable character? One they claim is a ‘true visionary’ and ‘cultural pioneer’?
PROSPERITY THEOLOGY BOOK IS BACK!
Stoddard states,
“This book is for every person hoping to fulfill the God-given mandate to maximize and expand the abundant potential in their life-all the while, giving Him the glory.”
He also states,
“The book will include personal stories of God’s miraculous provision as well as practical application for living within the purpose and will of God. Giving readers room to dream and believe that God really does want to exceed all their wildest expectations.”
In the sentences above, we highlighted New Apostolic Language, Purpose Driven Life and Health And Wealth language and heresy. In other words, this is just Brian Houston’s books For This Cause, For This I Was Born and You Need More Money repackaged as a mixed bag of half-truths and out-of-context scriptures.
Once again, why would a major publishing company endorse
such fraudulent work at the expense of their public image?

“THERE IS MORE is all about fulfilling the God-given mandate, calling and destiny on your life– and discovering potential that you didn’t even know was there! It’s about transforming your thinking and seeing yourself the way God sees you – with far more possibility and greatness within, than you could ever see in yourself,” says Houston. “This teaching is deeply personal because I have seen the Ephesians 3 principals (exceeding, abundant and above) outworked in my own life and the lives of those around me– and I am confident that God is well able to do that, AND MORE– in you also! As much as I’m excited about my new book – I get even more excited about the people it’s going to reach and the freedom that this message can bring.
