“Not many of you should become teachers, my brothers, for you know that we who teach will be judged with greater strictness.” James 3:1

We invite our readers to listen to Drew Davies as he preaches a recent Christmas sermon at C3 San Diego. In his sermon Drew Davies says what they offer at C3 San Diego is “hope” – that they are “hope dealers, not dope dealers.”

Sadly the false hope being peddled by C3 San Diego is as addictive as any illegal substance.

Chris Rosebrough, who recently reviewed this sermon, had this observation to make,

“I don’t know what that was. Just a hodge-podge of out of context verses sloganized and the obligatory nod that salvation is a gift, Jesus did his thing, now bow your head, close your eyes and pray this prayer and we’ll sneak you right into the kingdom of God.

The state of the church at the end of 2016 is abysmal. The leaders that people have gathered to themselves do not know how to rightly handle God’s Word. They’re not qualified to be pastors, preachers or teachers in Christ’s church. They scratch itching ears and people sit there and laugh it up like they’re receiving gold from heaven when all along they’re being deceived. And they love it this way, they love the way which they’re being deceived.

And they see the exponential growth going on in their so-called churches and they see it as a sign of God’s favor when all it is, is a sign of the growing apostasy and rebellion against Christ, His word, His Church. These are very deceptive times. Pray for the church, pray for yourself and  your family. Because if Christ doesn’t turn this around, we’re in for a very, very bumpy ride ahead, in the days ahead – very bumpy indeed. Because without repentance, faith in Christ for the forgiveness of sins, bearing fruit in keeping with repentance, pagans are going to do what pagans do. Unfortunately the rank paganism isn’t just out there in the world anymore, it’s right in the middle of the church. It’s right there on stage for you to feast your eyes on. You think it’s from God? None of it is.”
